We're now on a new IRC-Software [Known Issues and Changes]

Dear Users,

we are pleased to announce that after weeks of work we're finally on the new IRC Software we decided to use, InspIRCd 3.0. With this new software also a few things change. Below you'll find a Changelog or at least some information on things that changed, I might need to add some things in the next days.

The symbols ~ % & have been dropped and we now have @ for both channel ops and halfops, + is still voiced users, and ! is still ircops.  Just because a private channel owner no longer has ~ does not mean they are no longer owner.
We now have an additional USA Server ( located in New York
+p does not longer exist, you will now automatically set +s instead
The "Quit: Changing Host" has been removed, you will no longer rejoin after logging in. The vHost etc will still be granted.

Known Issues after the Update:

For ZNC Users the prefixes in the channels will be wrong (you have to type /names to sync it) [This is a Problem with ZNC itself, not with our Servers]
Flash-Chats using the Flash Player are currently not working [fixed]
/SILENCE not correctly removing (#1719) in this case a reconnect is needed.
WebIRC (CGIIRC) not resolving hostnames to the Network correctly (temporary disabled hostname lookups)
IPv6 on NBG is not working yet, the other Servers already do support IPv6

ZNC Issues temp-fix:

If you're using mIRC you can temporary fix the ZNC Prefix problems by adding this script into your mIRC-Remotes:

Issues with phone apps

- Issues with custom Apps such as AndroIRC, AndroidIRC, etc [not fixable on our network end]

From our Techs:
This is a problem with the apps themselves not being up to date; their developers have not added correct support for modern irc servers (not just the software we're using). I'd personally recommend them to contact the Developer of the App and ask them to implement whatever is not working, but it's definitely not from our end.
